Topical issues in the field of transport and logistics discussed

An important factor in the development of foreign economic relations of our country and the increase in foreign trade is the successful solution of the logistical problems of entering international markets.

The organization of uninterrupted logistics of export and import cargoes is becoming especially relevant in today’s conditions. Taking into account these aspects, on September 21 this year, at the initiative of the Ministry of Transport, under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev, a meeting was organized with entrepreneurs providing services in the field of transport and logistics.

At the meeting, the heads of the Ministry of Transport, Uzbekistan Airways JSC, Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC, the International Association of Road Carriers of Uzbekistan (AIRCUZ) discussed with representatives of freight forwarding companies, large manufacturers and exporting enterprises of our country issues related to problems in transport -logistics sphere and their solution.

At the meeting, organized in the format of an open dialogue, questions and proposals were comprehensively considered regarding the problems that arise in the implementation of export-import operations and their practical solution, in particular, the problems facing air carriers, railway and road transport companies when promoting export products to international markets.

Also at the meeting, a presentation was made on the problems that arise in the transport and logistics sector, and the measures taken to eliminate them, as well as on the possibilities of using alternative transport corridors.

Based on the results of the analysis of questions and proposals received from the meeting participants, it was instructed to form a working group consisting of the heads of relevant ministries and departments to develop a set of targeted measures to ensure the sustainability of export supplies by domestic producers.
